Cookie Policy
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Duerelay uses cookies and related browser-side storage technologies when you visit the Duerelay website, dashboard, and related product surfaces.
Duerelay is a webhook debugging, inspection, replay, delivery monitoring, and reliability platform. Some cookies are required for the website and authenticated product experience to work correctly. Others are used only if you choose to enable them.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or service. They can help keep you signed in, remember settings, support security controls, and measure how the site is used.
We may also use closely related browser-side storage mechanisms, such as local storage or session storage, where needed to remember consent choices or product state. In this policy, we refer to these collectively as cookies unless the distinction matters.
3. Who sets cookies
Duerelay uses both:
- First-party cookies — cookies set by Duerelay to operate the website, authenticated sessions, routing, and consent preferences; and
- Third-party cookies — cookies that may be set by third-party services we use, such as Google Analytics, but only where the relevant category has been enabled by valid consent.
4. Cookie categories we use
| Category | Examples | Provider | Purpose | Legal basis | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | session, dr_session, security/routing cookies |
Duerelay | Authentication, session continuity, security, routing, and core service operation. | Necessary for providing the requested website or service functionality. | Usually session-based or retained only as long as reasonably necessary for authenticated access and security. |
| Preferences | dl_cookie_analytics |
Duerelay | Stores your analytics cookie preference so we can remember your choice. | Necessary to respect and record your consent preference. | Persistent for a limited period, typically up to 6–12 months unless reset earlier. |
| Analytics | _ga, _ga_* and related Google Analytics identifiers |
Measures website and product usage to help us understand performance, navigation, and product experience. | Consent. | Session or persistent, depending on Google Analytics configuration and browser state. |
5. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are used for functions such as sign-in, session continuity, security checks, and reliable delivery of website pages and authenticated product screens. These cookies are required for the service to function correctly and are not used for advertising.
Some cookies that are strictly necessary for requested service functionality do not require consent, although users should still be informed about them.
6. Preference cookies
We use a preference cookie or equivalent storage key to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. This lets us avoid asking the same question on every page load and helps us honor your choice consistently.
If you clear your cookies or browser storage, you may be asked to choose again.
7. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are used only to help us understand how the website and product are used, so we can improve performance, navigation, documentation, and user experience. We currently describe this category around Google Analytics.
Analytics cookies are not set or read unless you opt in through the cookie banner or cookie preferences.
If you later withdraw consent, Duerelay will stop loading analytics and make a best-effort attempt to remove existing analytics cookies on that device. Best effort means removal is attempted for cookies within Duerelay's control, but some third-party browser or service behavior may not be fully reversible instantly.
8. How to manage your cookie choices
You can manage your analytics preference through the cookie banner shown on first visit, or through the cookie preferences control available on the website.
- If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics may load and analytics identifiers may be set.
- If you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics should not load and analytics identifiers should not be set.
- If you withdraw consent later, Duerelay will disable analytics going forward and attempt to clear existing analytics cookies from your browser for this site.
You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may remove saved preferences and sign-in state.
9. Third-party services
Where enabled by consent, third-party analytics providers such as Google may set or read cookies according to their own configurations and documentation. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy materials in addition to this policy.
If Duerelay later adds new non-essential cookie categories or third-party embeds, this Cookie Policy will be updated before or at the time those technologies go live.
10. More information
For more information about how we process personal data, please see the Privacy Policy. For contractual terms governing your use of the Service, see the Terms of Service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the website or product interface.
